The stroll will lead us through old historical city center and a part of its wider vicinity and will offer participants a look at the way modern architecture has entered traditional historical environment and helped shaping the character of new spaces.

South suburbs

The stroll around the manufacturing and residential area of Škoda Works offers a wide range of interesting typological and architectural elements. The stroll leads participants through an area in the north-west part of the former quarter Říšské předměstí.

As an accompanying part of the conference, a commented tour around the brewery area and Štrunc's gardens will take place. The route will introduce modern architecture linked to two elements, which have been characteristic of Pilsen till today: beer and sport.

The stroll is part of the international conference ARTSCAPE: LANDSCAPE – PUBLIC SPACE – ARCHITECTURE – ART as supporting programme.
